Is it free to start?
Yes — every coach starts with a free 25-day trial of Elite, our full-featured plan, so you get complete access to try everything with nothing held back. When the trial ends, you simply choose the plan that fits: Pro or Elite. See the full breakdown in the pricing section.
What's the difference between Pro and Elite?
Everyone begins on a free 25-day Elite trial. After that, Pro covers everything a coach needs to design and print: unlimited playbooks and plays, custom formations and route trees, animation and simulation, the full print suite (wristbands, call sheets, and playbook PDFs), and cloud sync across devices. Elite adds the team tools — team management and sharing, practice plans and drills, and player assignments. Compare them side by side in the pricing section.
Does it work offline?
Completely. Endzone Engine is offline-first, so your entire playbook lives on your device and every tool works with zero internet — the locker room, the bus, or a field with no signal. When you reconnect, changes sync automatically. Here's how offline and sync work.
Which platforms is it on?
All three: a native app for iPhone and iPad, a native Android app, and a full web app in any modern browser. One account keeps everything in sync across them, so you can design on a laptop and pull it up on your phone at practice. Head to the download page to grab it.
Can my whole coaching staff and players use it?
Yes, on the Elite plan. You can invite assistant coaches and players to your team, assign positions with personal notes, and share playbooks, plays, and practice plans with the right permissions. Players and assistants get access through your team without needing their own paid subscription. More on team collaboration.
Does it cover defense and special teams, not just offense?
Absolutely. Offense, defense, and special teams are all first-class. You get defensive and special-teams formation presets, can draw coverage zones and blitzes, color-code by unit, and organize each side of the ball into its own categories within a playbook.
Is my data backed up and synced?
Yes. Your data is stored locally for instant, offline access and backed up to the cloud automatically whenever you're online. That same sync keeps every device — web, iPhone, and Android — showing the latest version of your playbook. Read more about offline and sync.
How does billing work — is it different on the app stores vs the web?
The plans are the same everywhere, but the checkout differs by platform. On the web, you subscribe with a card through our secure payment processor. On iPhone and Android, purchases go through the App Store or Google Play using your existing store account. Whichever way you subscribe, your plan is tied to your Endzone Engine account and unlocks the app on every device. Pricing is listed in the pricing section.
How do I cancel or manage my subscription?
You manage a subscription wherever you bought it. If you subscribed on the web, open Manage Billing in the app to switch plans, update your card, or cancel. If you subscribed through the App Store or Google Play, manage or cancel it in your device's store subscription settings — the app links you straight there. Canceling stops future renewals; you keep access through the end of the paid period. Still stuck? Message us below.
